CityMarket at Glebe

Harris Teeter, partnering with Roadside Development, has begun planning the redevelopment of their first store in the Washington market, located at 600 N. Glebe Road in Arlington, Virginia. The primary goals of the project are to expand the store and improve its shopping experience; convert the site into a mixed-use, environmentally sustainable, and transit-oriented development; and to leverage the value that Harris Teeter has in the real estate to cover the cost of the store's redevelopment. The project will be comprised of approximately 71,000 square feet of retail, 330 residential condominium units, and 700 parking spaces. The project is being planned and designed by Shalom Baranes Associates. Construction is planned to begin in early 2010.
